Tina and Linh are eating meat, why shouldn't I?

I wanted to support Daniel's vegetarian quest, so I haven't been eating any meat for the past couple days. There are so many vegetarian options: any Thai food with tofu, half of the menu at Essential Baking Co across the street from work is vegetarian, plus Vietnamese food can also be vegetarian. You don't have to eat boring foods like beans, tomato soup and veggie burger!

Despite the more delicious vegetarian options available to me, hunger usually strikes two hours later without warning. Good thing I have snacks at my desk.

On the way down to Portland tonight, I started to worry about what we were going to eat for dinner. We needed to stop somewhere and I didn't know if there are any options. We decided that Federal Way might have something. Right off the freeway is East India Grill. That's a good option; Indian food is very vegetarian friendly.

When we got out of the car, I can already smell the deliciousness. I told Daniel that I always order chicken tikka at any Indian restaurant to gauge how good they are. He told me that he doesn't know why I am also going vegetarian. He would eat meat if he were me. With those words of encouragement, I ordered the chicken tikka. It was the best I ever had. It was so juicy and even came with a side of masala sauce. So yum.

So sorry Daniel. I am still full hours after eating. We might have to come back later so you can order your fish curry.

I will eat our two steaks at the wedding tomorrow and you can have the mashed potatoes.

  1. Oh no, Tukie cracked! Chicken tikka AND steak!!! Daniel is a saint to resist. Don't feel bad, Tukie... I keep trying to eat vegetarian meals with Hsu Han, but I always wind up finding my way back to meat...
