So...I'm still alive. It looks like my fellow comrades are also doing ok. I was torn on what to do for dinner tonight, I couldn't really figure it out. I had mango salsa and watermelon at home...but I knew I couldn't survive off of just that. Just up the street is a Vietnamese Vegetarian restaurant called Moonlight Cafe. I've been there before but that was a long time ago. Linh suggested we go there I was a little hesitant but why the heck not. It was interesting they had two menu's one for vegans and the other was for meat eaters so they cater to both which was nice. When I ordered my fake pork fried rice she asked if I wanted egg in it...I've never had someone ask me that before. According to our rules we can eat eggs but only in like baked goods or pastas. Since I can pick the egg out of the fried rice I couldn't have it. Sad face... Food we got was pretty good, but it was weird at the end, I wasn't full but I didn't want to eat anymore. I didn't feel bloated at the end of the meal...felt like I had more energy. I thought feeling bloated was natural, this is a weird feeling. Do you develop super powers if you don't eat meat?
Afterwards we went to Safeway and I picked up some food for the next 6 days. Yogurt, fruits and veggies. Then decided to be a hippy and hit up Trader Joes, we typically don't shop there but figure if anyones got vegetarian stuff they would. I was thinking I'd walk in and half of the store would be for vegetarians an homage to the great and powerful vegetable but not really. Everything was scattered around, must say shopping as a Vegetarian is hard. But we got some stuff, shall see how this holds us over. Most likely for dinners we are just going to go try new vegetarian restaurants, I don't know how to make vegetables it's not in my repertoire. So far so good, I don't feel like eating Uzi...yet...
